Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

For travelers

What does a Traveda advisor cost me?

In most cases, nothing beyond the price of the trip itself. Hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators build a commission into their published pricing whether you use an advisor or not — your advisor is paid a share of that commission, not a fee on top of your trip.

What kinds of travel do you book?

All of it, honestly: hotels and resorts, flights, multi-day journeys, tours and activities, cruises, rental cars, villas and vacation rentals, group trips and room blocks — and your advisor can arrange travel insurance with a trip. Every category is planned and booked person-to-person. The full list, with how each one works, is at Everything we book.

Can you book just one piece — a hotel, a flight, a car?

Yes. A single hotel night or a flight on its own is a perfectly good request. The advisor model just pays off most when one person holds the whole trip.

How do I get matched with an advisor?

Send us the trip through Book a trip — where you want to go, roughly when, and who is going. We read every request and pair you with the advisor whose experience and style fit what you have in mind.

Can I choose a specific advisor?

Yes. Each Traveda advisor has a page of their own with their own inquiry form. Send your request there and it goes straight to that advisor rather than through matching.

Who actually books the trip?

Your advisor plans it and books it through Traveda’s platform. That means the booking record, your confirmations, and support all live with us — one place to turn if anything about the trip needs attention.

For advisors

What do I keep?

You keep 60–70% of the commission on every booking you make.

When am I paid?

Your commission accrues at booking confirmation. Most of the industry makes advisors wait 60–90 days past the client’s checkout before anything is owed.

What does it cost?

$299 a year, or $99 per quarter. You apply first — nothing is due unless you’re approved.

Where do I apply?

Right here: Apply to become an advisor. Applications are reviewed by a person, and you’ll hear back either way.

Still deciding?

Ask a person, not a page.
